Humber Education Business Partnership

The Humber EBP provides a service linking education and business across the four Local Authorities of the Humber Sub Region, the East Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.

Ther aim is to provide young people with a range of experiences which will assist in developing:

• Employability skills through activities such as work experience, active engagement with business and mock interviews 
• An awareness of training and development post 16 including a range of progression routes through high quality LMI information 
• An awareness of the local and regional economy and its implications for career progression

In 2014, 6000 young people from across the Humber Sub Region benefitted from a work experience placement supported by the Humber EBP and the team note that employers are very keen to support work experience and help develop the employability skills of local people and develop their future workforce.

General Manager Helen Wilson was aksed what she would say to someone thinking of supporting the campain - here's what she said: "Sign up!  Working together will help everyone to develop an excellent future workforce for the region."
