Net-logic signed the Pledge as they believe employability and skills training are important drivers for the prosperity of their Company and the Humber region. It will benefit them as trained and motivated staff are invaluable to the long term success of the Company.
In terms of benefiting the wider community they believe it will provide an incentive for teenagers to work hard to gain an apprenticeship with a local company who will in turn support them in their career development. It will also help the Humber region in general by creating and retaining higher skilled workers, which will in turn attract other companies to start thinking about relocating their businesses in and around the Humber.
Since signing the Pledge the company have taken on an apprentice in electrical engineering, who after been awarded engineering student of the year and passing all his exams at Hull College, is now studying part time with for his foundation degree. As part of increasing skills within the workforce they are also paying for their office manager to undertake an AAT Level 3 diploma in accounting and he recently attended a Hull Chamber of Commerce course in Export Documentation.
